New Features
This weekend we're adding two new features that will make it easier for lawyers and firms to post legal notices with NoticeConnect. We are always improving and refining our products in response to user feedback. If you have thoughts about what you'd like us to tackle next, email us at [email protected].
File/Matter Numbers
We're adding a new, optional field on the Checkout page where you can list a File or Matter number associated with the notice you're posting. This feature is fully compatible with our Estate-a-Base and Emergent integrations.
The file/matter number that you provide on the Checkout page will appear at the end of the Notes section of your receipt and invoice.
We added this feature in response to users who asked for better ways to associate their notices with their estate files. Since the cost of publishing a notice is typically a disbursement, it's important to keep track of which invoices and receipts go to which clients.
Trusted Accounts
Our site says that if you wish to pay by cheque, we will wait to receive payment before we publish your notice. We typically waive this waiting period for lawyers, trust companies, and other large institutions.
We've formalized this system with our new Trusted Accounts feature.
Lawyers and firms that have used us will see the Trusted Account icon on their user profile. Any new lawyers or clerks from your firm will automatically have this status. When a Trusted Account pays by cheque, their order will automatically be published same-day. You'll see the Trusted Account icon on the Checkout page as well.
Upcoming Features
We're working on some big new features that we plan to release before the end of the year. Users with NoticeConnect accounts will be able to save drafts,
