New regulations approve NoticeConnect in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has updated its estate administration rules and now requires Notices to Claimants to be published on NoticeConnect.

The Changes

In s. 8(b) of The Administration of Estates Regulations, 2020, there is now a requirement that executors or administrators advertise for creditors using NoticeConnect:

8. For the purposes of subsection 32(1) of the Act, the notice to claimants is to be published ...  (b) for 30 days on the NoticeConnect website

This change is an exciting modernization of estate administration in Saskatchewan and makes it easy for estate trustees to protect themselves from liability for outstanding debts of the deceased.

Advertising for creditors with NoticeConnect is simple, fast, and cost-effective.

Our online platform effectively connects notices to claimants with creditors across Canada. For a one-time fee of $130, disbursable to the estate, a lawyer, executor, or administrator can publish a notice to claimants. The entire process takes under five minutes.
